•Assistance from volunteer Library Assistants on how to use the library and direction on where to find items.
•Research service is available (cost).
•Library entrance fee for non-members is $5.50 (cash or bank transfer).

Library Rules
•The attendance book must be signed by all BGA members and the general public (visitors).
•Library Assistants when on duty are to wear name tags.
•No briefcases, handbags or other containers are permitted in the research area. These must be left in the locked cupboard provided. Personal folders are allowed.
•Pens or ink may not be used because of the risk of damage to documents. Pencils are provided.
•Members and visitors may not connect notebooks or insert CDs, USB drives, floppy disks, etc to any of the BGA computers. However, they may connect their
notebook to a power point.
•The only exception is the Library Accession Officer.
•At peak times, when all computers and/or microfiche/microfilm readers are in use, members and visitors are to restrict their usage to intervals of 60 minutes.
•Use of cameras is permitted on the film readers ONLY.
•Use of microfiche. Only one box of microfiche per person to be used at one time.
Use a marker. After use return the microfiche box to it correct place. Switch off the microfiche or film reader when finished.
•Copying is by Librarians and charges apply. Copying may not be permitted if there is a risk that this may damage the records or infringes the copyright.
•No Bundaberg Genealogical Association Inc. publication is allowed to be photocopied. All copying must be transcribed in hand writing only.
•Library borrowing. A total of four items (books, journals, folders, etc.) may be borrowed for a period of two weeks. Items with NOT FOR LOAN or NO POCKET & CARD in them cannot be taken out of the library.
•No food or drink is permitted in the research area. There is a kitchen/eating area with tea and coffee making facilities. Pre-packed food and drink is to be placed in the refrigerator. The kitchen is not to be used for food preparation. After use, utensils should be washed, dried and put away.
•Children under 12 years of age or animals are not permitted into the library/research areas.
